About David Yamin
David Yamin is a speaker, strategist, and data storyteller whose career path is anything but ordinary.
After two decades as an equity partner at a nationally recognized AMLaw 100 firm, David did what few would dare: he walked away from the pinnacle of a legal career to pursue a second act in data science—earning a master’s degree in his mid-50s and joining one of the most analytically sophisticated front offices in Major League Baseball as a Moneyball-style baseball analyst.

Today, David blends the high-performance culture of pro sports with the rigor of data modeling and the clarity of a seasoned communicator. In his signature talk, Winning by the Numbers, he draws back the curtain on the world of baseball analytics to reveal lessons that transcend the field: how to identify hidden talent, how to build systems that predict success, and how to love the challenge of getting it right when the stakes are high.

But David isn’t just a numbers guy. He’s also a professionally trained stage actor and former stand-up comic, known for turning complex ideas into captivating stories. He’s spoken to business leaders, alumni groups, and aspiring professionals alike—earning praise for his “riveting” delivery and memorable insights.

David believes the best ideas are those that change the way people see the world—and he’s on a mission to bring those ideas to every audience he meets.
